Meet Dr.Irfan Hameed

Dr. Irfan Hameed is an interventional cardiologist surgeon with expertise in coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular intervention. He moved to North Texas from New York after finishing his interventional cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital / Albert Einstein Hospital, New York.

He did his general cardiology at Tulane University, New Orleans, and Internal medicine residency at Wayne State University / Sinai Grace Hospital. Dr. Hameed did his Master in Public health at heart of Detroit – Detroit Medical Center

He is skilled in right and left coronary angiography, coronary interventions (including stenting, atherectomy, embolectomy), complex coronary stenting, carotid, peripheral vascular stenting (including renal, subclavian, iliac, femoropopliteal and below the knee stenting).

Dr. Hameed’s goal to develop a program for Limb Ischemia (Where through intervention the leg can be saved verses amputation) which allows the patient to have a better quality of life.

First, launched in Decatur / Wise County “Save a Foot – Save a Life” and later extend this successful program to Tarrant County Residents – North Texas.
